![]() ![]() I find the Character Creator eyes give more realism to the character. Use multiply to darken colors and use overlay and color to lighten colors.ĭraw the eyeball separate and keep the eye socket blank, so that you can later choose to either use the pencil sketched eyeball or one of the most realistic eyes that come standard with Character Creator. I apply most layers as ‘multiply’, ‘overlay’ and ‘colour’ layers to get the best results. ![]() Starting with the lightest colors, begin to build up the color on the face. Set the duplicate layer at 40% color burn, and then add all other layers in between these two, so that the pencil lines always stay on top of the color and don’t get lost. Take the original pencil sketch (layer 1) and duplicate it (layer 11). It is important to build the color in separate layers so that you can always work backward or make adjustments to individual layers without affecting the overall image. ![]() The original pencil sketch is scanned into Photoshop and then I start to build the color. This article is not so much a technical guide as a behind the scenes look at the way I create my art. In this tutorial, however, I’ll take you through the process and show you how I use the comic faces to create 3D characters for finished artwork stills. Your custom characters can then be exported to iClone 6 for lighting, posing and rendering and are also ready for animation. The limitless possibilities for these faces really become apparent when you apply them to the base models in Character Creator, where you can use the morph sliders to create an infinite number of characters from each face. Ten original hands sketched cartoon faces, fully rigged as 3D head models for use in CrazyTalk 8. And so began the idea behind “Garry Pye’s Comic Face Pack”. Then I started to wonder if my 2D cartoons would work in Reallusion’s 3D software like CrazyTalk 8(CT8) and iClone 6. In that time my main focus has been on the creation of 2D assets for CrazyTalk Animator 2, including hand drawn cartoon characters, props, and scenes. Knowledge about iray render settings in daz3d to improve your daz3d rendering quality. That is why we decided to explain everything we know in this article. Absolutely the same things apply when you render your 3d scene in the Daz Studio. Because it does not matter how good the scene is, if your camera settings are not right. The second most important thing is the camera settings. Sometimes a geograft that stays white can be 'fixed' by saving the scene from DAZ, reloading that scene, and using 'use embedded data' within the octane materials interface. This seems to happen if the material name on the geograft has exactly the same name as an existing material on the figure that the geograft is being applied to. If the plugin is installed correctly, you should have the following icons in your toolbar Make sure the icon on the right is set to ‘Duf’ (click on it to cycle through the options) – this setting will make sure that all Octane settings and materials from the Duf file are loaded (Manual loads no Octane settings, Auto will try. ![]() However, if you're a gore-hound this one is most definitely for you. In short, it's uninteresting because it doesn't take risks and for me, it just lacked imagination. His film never makes a solid attempt at crossing the line between genuine, serious horror and wicked humor. The film is well-filmed in an interesting area I assume that the filmmaker - who made his debut with this film - spent some good time in the woods to do proper research for this film but what he didn't do was take into consideration what makes good horror-satire so effective. Perhaps Schmidt's greatest achievement, with this film, is his keen eye for locations. ![]() We learn through newspaper clippings which show up in the opening credits that the area is known for such people being its only likely inhabitants. The set-up for the film is that four young men and women (two per sex) are stranded in the Wes Virginia woods and happen upon a family of violent, inbred cannibals. I don't feel like naming the characters - because they're practically lacking in identity - and I feel as if more time went into the setting and villains, so I shall only describe those in considerable detail. But for me, it rang almost completely hollow. This is a shame, because there was a part of me that really wanted to like the flick it was recommended to me by a good friend of mine, and I respect those who enjoyed it. Those who enjoy slasher films with just a touch of satire thrown in will have a blast but those, like me, who can't stand formulaic films - for the most part -, will be bored for most of the time. I'd even say it's a knock-off of "Deliverance" all-together but at that, it's a self-aware "Deliverance" knock-off, and we don't get many of those.ĭirector Rob Schmidt tries his best to make the film interesting, and it has its moments, but overall, I just didn't find it to be as entertaining as I would have liked. The film is far from perfect, so that's really saying something.Īs a film that includes cannibalistic hillbilly psychopaths as one of its major pleasures, "Wrong Turn" is one of those many movies that just-plain reminds you of "Deliverance" from the minute it starts to the minute it ends. I think at bare minimum all popcorn and vomit flicks need to be as well put together as Wrong Turn. Though you can see the ending from miles behind it takes you through it's acts with the enormous energy the new slashers lack and is overall entertaining. It's gritty, scary and hugely suspenseful. Out of all the asinine shlock that's been released in the last ten years like the empty torture porn movies that have given horror a bad name I would much rather watch Wrong Turn to remind me that there are still some good people in the horror industry today. The defining moment of the entire film for me, was when a character said "need I remind you about a film called Deliverance". It's also very up front about the films it references which makes it's underlying playfulness and utter predictability that much more fun. But it never became innocuous and remained consistently scary. Personally I can't remember sitting through a generic slasher without wanting somebody to die within the first 10 minutes. But the bonus in all this is decent performances of characters that you actually grow to care about as it unfolds. It fits tab A into slot B perfectly well with some fairly inventive direction, good shock horror, a fun set up and some good gore. If completely conventional Wrong Turn nevertheless manages to get everything you'd expect and would want from a wilderness horror movie right. ![]() But Wrong Turn is none of the above apart from the latter. Originality is definitely not the film's strongest point and it's numerous similarities with vintage pieces like "Deliverance" and "The Hills Have Eyes" are so obvious that one might dismiss it as a stupid, lazy, ordinary, ruthless, derivative slasher flick. This throwback nature slasher is likely to be a love or hate piece among most horror fans. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thus I have looked deeply and reject most if not all Apple software, but for their OS. But, software designed as a professional tool is, in my little opinion, not what Apple can be admired for. They make good hardware which is why I gratefully use this Macbook and spent many years with an iPhone in my hand. That last sentence hints at the fact that for me, Apple is not my diehard standard champion. Polaris also runs on my Android phone with grace and aplomb. There might have been adware sneaking in their back door, but none I'm aware of or even have experienced. In the case of Polaris, it has been quite useful and without (known) issues technical or adware-wise (not to say they couldn't improve their design.
